Go Deeper! Living Your Fullest Life with Kundalini Yoga It seems it's natural, once we get to a certain age or once we’ve been on a particular spiritual path for a while, to relax a bit and think we’ve “got it,” that we pretty much have a handle on this whole life thing, and that we’ve learned the lessons we need to learn. The path to get to that point may be jagged and full of painful twists and turns, or it may be relatively straight with minimal diverting obstructions. In either case, the profound comfort of feeling as though we’ve “arrived” is gratifying and sweet, but the problem is that it’s also an illusion. There is always more to encounter, more to learn, more to understand. Our awareness can continually expand and our experience of the world can be continually refined and deepened. Kundalini Yoga is the Yoga of Awareness, a great practice to help you continually grow in consciousness. Let’s talk. Rai Kaur Khalsa began her practice of Kundalini Yoga in 1972 in Newark, DE. She and Rai Singh were married by Yogi Bhajan at Winter Solstice in 1974 and opened the Guru Ram Das Ashram in Knoxville, TN in 1977. She has been an active yoga teacher there, as well as a leader in the Sikh community ever since, and they have been sponsoring an annual White Tantric Yoga workshop in Knoxville for the past 26 years. Rai Kaur led the young women's program at the annual 3HO Women's Camp in Espanola, NM for many years, and she and Rai Singh together re-organized and led the teen program at Summer and Winter Solstices for over a decade. They have also been guest teachers at Miri Piri Academy in Amritsar, India.
